Breezy and cool conditions greeted the players and made for a tough day at Port Royal to conclude the 2013 Public Links Championship.
Men’s Gross Division
Jarryd Dillas added yet another piece of hardware to his trophy cabinet by claiming the Men’s Open Division in today’s final Round. No doubt the conditions were testier today with a bit of a breeze but Dillas managed his game to the conditions presented to him and added a respectable 79 to his 68 yesterday for a two day total of 147, six over par. Bill Pitt is no stranger to Port Royal and took second place honors with Leroy Robinson taking home third honors.
Women’s Gross Division
Ebonie Burgess is quickly making her presence in the game known. Her brilliant six under par yesterday put her in prime position to take top honors and she did not disappoint. Burgess finished her tournament at 3-over par 146 overall capturing the Women’s Title in fine form. In second place was Katrin Burnie who is no stranger to the winner’s circle herself and despite her consistent two day play she could only managed to secure 2 place. Rounding out the top three was Ann Symonds, the current Women’s Match Play Champion.
Seniors Gross Division
Craig Christensen capped off a fine performance taking home another major title this year. In March, Christensen won the Seniors Division at the Bacardi Par 3 and now is crowned the Seniors Public Links Champion for 2013 with a two day total of 148, seven over par. In second place was Jeffrey Lindo on 154, 13-over par and Michael Tavares taking home third place honors on 172 overall.
Men’s Net Division
Jerome Bradshaw sealed the deal and took top honors in the Net Division with a fine performance and overall total of 1 under par, 140. Second place went to Walter Jackson and third to Mark Jarecki.
Women’s Net Division
Katyna Rabain took home the women’s net title after recording a two day total five over par. In second place was last year’s champion, Donna Jones while Wendy Salvia secured third place overall.
Seniors Net Division
Richard Jones is the Seniors Net Champion after his overall two under par was enough to secure first place. Winston “Coe” Trott took home second place honors while Steven Hickmott finished 3rd overall.
