Nahki Wells Bradford City striking partner James Hanson scored the decisive goal as Bradford made sure of their place in the npower League Two play-offs with a 1-0 win season while all but ending 10-man Burton's hopes of automatic promotion.
The only goal of a tense, scrappy match came a minute before half time after the visitors' defense failed to deal with a long through ball from Ricky Ravenhill.
Bradford City’s leading scorer Wells chased the ball and managed to get in a shot which goalkeeper Dean Lyness could not hold and, when Marcus Holness failed to clear, Hanson managed to loop the ball into the net.
Burton, who began the match in fourth place, were reduced 10 men in first half stoppage time when skipper Lee Bell was sent off for a foul on Bradford substitute, winger Zavon Hines.
They rarely threatened a strong City defense in the second half and the hosts ought to have scored a second goal when Hines shot wide of the far post from the edge of the six yard box.
Jonte Smith
A Jonte Smith 1st half strike gave Eastbourne Borough the lead, but it was cancelled out before half time by Hayes & Yeading United striker Kudus Oyenuga as the two teams played to a 1 – 1 draw.
Reggie Lambe
Warren Creavalle scored a header from a corner kick late in second-half stoppage to earn the Houston Dynamo a 1-1 draw with Reggie Lambe and his Toronto FC teammates in cold, windy conditions.
Jeremy Hall opened the scoring for Toronto with a long shot in the 58th minute, but just when it looked as if they would pick up the win Creavalle scored.
