The first stage of the 2013 Bermuda Grand Prix got underway with 122 competitors starting a hill climb in St. George which took many competitors less than a minute to complete.
Dominique Mayho of Team Madison edged out visitor Geordie Morrison of Pro City Racing by less than a second to take the lead in the Male A category. Mahyo crossed the line in a time of 44.13.
Tre-shun Correia of Winners Edge leads the Male B category ahead of teammates Kareem Johnson and Rico Smith. Correia clocked 48.791, while in the Open Female category, Winners Edge again topped the group with Heather Roque clocking 56.746 finishing ahead of Andrea Proctor and visitor Sylvia Storry.
In the Junior categories Julianne Oatley’s time of 1:30.4 sees her leading the Female 12 & Under Class, after clocking a time of 1:01.8 Nicholas Pilgrim leads the Male 12 & Under Division. Following the hill climb Victoria Davis leads the Female 13-16 Division with a time of 1:06.0 and Zion Dowling leads the Male 13-16 Division after he clocked 59.692.
