The Bermuda Cricket Board announced warm-up matches for the ICC World Cricket League Division 3 scheduled to take place next week. The BCB can confirm that the players listed below have been selected to compete in the Bermuda Select XI Team.
National Coach, David Moore said, "The selected teams are an excellent mix of youth and experience and should make a very good account of themselves in the three fixtures. The team is complete with former internationals such as Irving Romaine, Chris Foggo, OJ Pitcher, Chris Douglas, Kyle Hodsoll and Jordan De Silva, current squad members Sam Robinson, Dennico Hollis, Greg Maybury and David Hemp, U19 squad members including Joshua Gilbert, Kwasi James, Christion Gibbons Lateef Trott and outstanding domestic cricketers including Steven Bremer and Allan Douglas Jr."
"This is a wonderful opportunity for the players on the Island to test themselves against quality international teams. I am hopeful that a significant number of players will thrive in this experience and use it as a motivating factor to rejoin the squad and commit to Bermuda cricket. These players are quality players and their future commitment can only strengthen the competition for places in the national program. It will also be a good test of Bermuda’s depth to see how these players are able to match the Division 3 teams."
Coach Moore concluded, "Coach Arnold Manders has opted to get some of the National team batsmen, Jason Anderson, Treadwell Gibbons and Tre Manders an extra hit against Nepal on Thursday. He has also placed Greg Maybury in the match v Italy on Tuesday and David Hemp will have his first hit on Bermuda soil against Italy on Friday after having a net with the team on Thursday."
