Jersey swimming have named five new faces in their squad of 16 for this summer’s Natwest Island Games in Bermuda. Cameron Donaldson, Tony Manning, Garth Jackson, Gemma Atherley and Beckie Scaife are all included for the first time as Jersey look to improve on the 25 Medals they collected in the Isle of Wight two years ago. Three swimmers return to the squad after varying absences – Commonwealth Games duo Ian Black and Simon le Couilliard along with Matthew Brehaut who last represented Jersey in 1993. The rest of the squad all competed two years ago including Emily Bashforth who was the only individual Gold Medalist. Also in the women’s team Beth Cumming, Ella Dias, Kerrie Smith and Charlotte Manning all medalled in the Isle of Wight. The men’s team is spearheaded by Tom Gallichan who won five individual medals at the last games, whilst Stefan McGreevey and Gio Guarino enjoyed success in the relays.
