On Saturday April 20th the Bermuda Football Association (BFA) will host its 3rd annual End of Season Symposium at CedarBridge Academy. The theme this year is “Global Trends”. The BFA recognizes that the game is always evolving from grass roots to elite football including international competition. This evolution occurs in all aspects of the game. Last year, under the theme of “Building Programs”, Anton Corneal, Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation Technical Director addressed the audience and shared similarities and some solutions to challenges faced throughout the Caribbean Football Union.
This year Jaques Crevoisier, UEFA Technical Instructor, will be our key note speaker and will address the coaches on the Global Trends he has seen in the game throughout his travels. He will include the changes he has seen and how they have affected football in different regions. In addition to Crevoisier, we will be reviewing the past season at youth and senior levels and formulating suggestions for the upcoming year. National Academy Director Richard Todd will share developments on the National Program structures and schedules, while the National Academy physiotherapists will touch on injury management and prevention. Current Bermuda Athletic Association Technical Director and former BFA Youth Director Kenny Thompson will speak on the changes in the game in Spain.
The day will start at 9.30am and will continue through to late afternoon with a full lunch provided.
The BFA symposium forms a vital part of coaching education and allows coaches to come together, discuss football and to play a role in charting the way forward for football development in Bermuda.
