CARIFTA Swimming Medalist Madelyn Moore and Jesse Washington spoke to the students of the Prospect Primary at a Special Assembly.
The pair highlighted the need to balance both Training and School Work.
Moore said, “My goal is to eventually qualify for the Olympics, but I need to make sure that I stay on top of my school work.”
Washington said, “I train about eight times a week, roughly hour and half to two hours at a time, but I stay committed to what I want to achieve which is the Olympics.”
National Coach Ben Smith said, “Both Washington and Moore are both good at Swimming, but they are also very good in School and that is very important to staying focused.”
