The Melbourne Cricket Club once again won the toss and elected to bat at the Somerset Cricket Club against their host.
A 147 run opening partnership between Jon Ross Campbell and Tarique White broke the spirit of the Somerset Cricket Club team as Melbourne went on to score 229/4 in their allotted 20 overs. White was their top scorer with 87, while Campbell scored 74. Dennico Hollis was the pick of the Somerset Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 3-0-46-2.
In reply just as the Jamaican Association found out the Somerset Cricket Club struggled to get the Melbourne bowlers away scoring 112/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Ricky Hoyte was the top scorer with 37, while Joshua Gilbert added 24, Tafari Williams was the pick of the Melbourne bowlers with figures of 2-0-06-2, while Christopher Lamont bowled 4-0-27-2.
