Bradford City 4 Bristol Rovers 1
Nahki Wells scored twice in the first half as Bradford City took a 3 -0 lead into the break against Bristol Rovers. Wells headed Bradford into the lead in the 6th minute, from approximately 6 yards out, Wells then doubled the Bradford City lead in the 22nd minute when he converted from the Penalty Spot.
Wells placed the penalty kick with his right foot to the lower right corner the Bristol Rovers goalkeeper Steve Midenhall guessed correctly but could not stop the shot, in injury time of the first half Andrew Davies made it 3 – 0 to Bradford City.
In the second half, Bristol Rovers pulled a goal back in the 50th minute when Tom Hitchcock hit a very good right footed shot to the lower right corner from the edge of the penalty area making the score 3-1, but seven minutes later Garry Thompson restored the Bradford City three goal lead when he hit a very good left footed shot to the lower right corner from approximately 18 yards out to give Bradford City a 4 – 1 lead.
