Bermuda’s young Martial Artists treated the public to almost three hours of dynamic performances at the thirty-first edition of the Bermuda Open Karate Championships at Fairmont Hamilton Princess.
Local judges Charles Butterfield, Geoff Rothwell, David Simons, Al Wharton, Oscar Lightbourne, Princeton Bailey and Jerry Bailey were joined by Forms and Fighting Champion John Chung of Reston, Virginia, in determining the finalists among over sixty competitors, who contested twenty-four forms Divisions, and Ten Sparring Divisions.
Notable for winning in all three categories Forms, Weapons and Sparring were US visitor Kayla Deehan and local Kaelin Cox.
