Connecticut was crowned the 2013 Bermuda Volley Open Champions inside the Warwick Academy Gymnasium after defeating Baltimore in straight sets in the Final.
Connecticut found themselves down 18-13 in the first set but fought back to take the first set 25-19, Connecticut then ran away to win the second set 25-15 to lift the title.
Jade Weaver was named the Junior National Team MVP, while Grace Lyon from Baltimore was the Tournament MVP.
In earlier games on the final days play Connecticut defeated the Junior National Girls Team 25-6, 25-10, while Bermuda Dig defeated the Bermuda Spike’s in straight sets 25-22, 25-20.
The Bermuda Spikes’ returned and defeated the Junior National Girls Team in straight sets 25-10, 25-10, while Baltimore needed three sets to defeat Bermuda Dig 25-17, 23-25, 15-13.
Connecticut defeated the Bermuda Spike’s in straight sets 25-19, 25-13 and the Bermuda Dig’s defeated the Bermuda Spike’s in straight sets 25-20, 25-18.
