During the CARIFTA Games in the Bahamas last week several College coaches took the opportunity to have a look a future World Track and Field Stars.
One coach that was noticeable in Bahamas was Kareem Streete-Thompson the Assistant Coach - Horizontal Jumps/Short Sprints-Hurdles at the University of Missouri a school that is attended by Bermuda’s CARIFTA athlete Kerri Furbert.
While scouting for new talent Streete-Thompson was seen standing next to Bermuda national Athletics Association Technical Director Troy Douglas discussing Furbert’s form.
Streete-Thompson competed in the CARIFTA Games and knows just what the athletes are going through as far as making sure they are at their best performing.
www.islandstats.com asked Streete-Thompson what he thought of the talent he had seen over the days of the CARIFTA Games.
