The best of St. John’s University Track & Field was on display at the annual Red Storm Meet as they won eight events and acknowledged its group of seniors.
The program honored its eight dedicated seniors, Marisela Acevedo, Stephanie Barnes, Alexis Bean, Michelle Duffy, Molly Ellis, Rikka Lovely, Trudy-Ann McLean and Adara Simonelli, with a ceremony during the meet.
A number of the city’s local colleges competed against the Red Storm as ASA College, Bronx Community College, Monroe College, York College, Nassau Community College, Staten Island College, St. Thomas Aquinas, Pratt Institute, Dominican College, CCNY, Kingsborough Community College and representatives from a number of area track clubs were in attendance.
Bean finished 7th in the Women’s 800m race clocking a time of 2:32.02.
