The Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association and their members will be a step closer to having competitions regularly in a 50m Pool in Bermuda, as www.islandstats.com can reveal that the Aquatics Center at the National Sports Center in now full.
With Bermuda’s Swimmers continuously setting Personal Best Times and Breaking Record during the Carifta Swimming Championships, many can only believe the times will get faster with the training at the bigger facility.
Bernie Asbell the interim CEO of the National Sports Center said, “It took six and a-half days to fill the pool, as we wanted to make sure we did not put a strain on the tiles.”
“Outside Pool Vendors will be given training for two days as well as inhouse staff to ensure the upkeep of the Pool,” continued Asbell.
Asbell concluded, “So far everything with the water in the Pool is looking good and we look forward to opening the facility to the public on May 11th.”
