The 42nd Annual CARIFTA Games got underway, with the opening ceremony at the Thomas A. Robinson Stadium.
The Athletes from each country were paraded into the stadium with Bermuda coming in after Belize.
Bermuda’s Flag was carried by Kyrah Scraders and Taahira Butterfield.
The CARIFTA Games is an annual athletics competition founded by the Caribbean Free Trade Association (CARIFTA). The games was first held in 1972 and consists of track and field events including sprint races, hurdles, middle distance track events, jumping and throwing events, and relays.
The Games has two age categories Under 17 and Under 20.
Fans packed the stadium to welcome all the teams, with Bermuda getting a great reception, however the biggest applause was saved for the host who entered the stadium last.
