Bermuda Professional Squash player Micah Franklin reflected on the recently concluded Bermuda National Squash Championships.
Franklin said, “The week of the Digicel Bermuda Nationals has now come to a close and after five matches I am the official runner up behind Patrick Foster. It was an incredibly tough tournament for me all the way from the second round getting put up against some tough opponents in the likes of Spencer Moss, Noah Browne and Robbie Maycock, thankfully getting through them all in close games.”
“In the final I took on Patrick Foster the past 6 time defending champion who has also been my coach/advisor ever since I was 13. The match had nearly everything in it with many “oohs” and “aahs” from the crowd, and after about an hour of squash he came out the winner 11-13, 11-2, 11-5, 12-10,” continued Franklin.
Franklin concluded, “I learned a lot from the matches I played over the week also had some amazing encouraging words from all the members and spectators.”
