Erica Hawley has begun racing in the UK and will be racing in at least 8 races through the summer.
Hawley will be competing in Duathlons, Triathlons and Aquathlons (swim and run) in the UK South West Series, the London Series and in the UK National Series in the Youth category.
Hawley competed in the Dartington Duathlon and placed 2nd Overall in the Youth Female Division.
This was a 5k Run / 20k Bike / 2.5k Run, with Hawley recording a time of 1:35.26 finishing 94th overall.
Hawley and the other competitors competed in terrible weather conditions that was windy, drizzly and a high of 40 degrees F on a very challenging, long, hilly course.
This was Hawley’s first race of such a long distance. The remaining races in the series will be a bit shorter and in line with the set national distances for the youth category.
