The 4th Annual Bacardi World Par 3 Championships, came to an end at the wet and soggy Fairmont Southampton’s Turtle Hill Golf Course.
The overnight leaders Kirk Hanefeld and the defending champion Ian Doig could not hold on to the top spot in the Professional Division, Jordan Mitchell shot a Final Round 53 to come away with a One Stroke victory at 1-under par. Three golfers finished T2nd at Even Par they included Joe Horowitz, Bill Walsh and Hanefeld. Dwayne Pearman was the top local Professional shooting a combined 2-over par 110 to finish in 6th place.
Craig Christensen held off Hav Trott and Jeff Lindo to capture the Seniors Division title, while Ebonie Burgess won the Ladies Division after shooting a combined total of 13-over par 121, two strokes ahead of Katrin Burnie and three ahead of Zoe Allen.
Jevon Roberts won the Men’s Amateur Division shooting 11-over, while Ernest Koury finished second shooting 13-over.
Wet conditions tested players in the Final Round of the Port Royal Golf Club, 2013 Club Championship.
Matt Gorrell was crowned the Men’s Champion for 2013 after completing his second round with a 81 and a two day total of 15-over par 157.
In the Ladies Division proved to be the hottest match on the course as defending champion Sylvia Tavares and Elizabeth Parsons walked up on the 18th tied for the lead. In the end, Parsons bettered her opponent by one shot to lift her first Club Championship Title and becomes the youngest Ladies Champion in the Clubs History.
