The 4th Annual Bacardi World Par 3 Championships, got underway at the Fairmont Southampton’s Turtle Hill Golf Club.
Kirk Hanefeld and the defending champion Ian Doig are the Day One leaders after both shooting opening rounds 3-under par 51’s, Jean Laforce and Jordan Mitchell will both start their second round three strokes off the leaders. Eric West is T5th after shooting an opening round 1-over par 55, he is level with Bill Walsh and Nick Taylor.

Matt Gorrell fired an impressive 5-over 76 to take a slim three shot lead going into the final round tomorrow over Andrew MacFarlane who posted a steady 8 over 79. Bermuda Open Runner–up Scott Barnett stands in third place on 10 over 81.
