In the Junior Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Pre-Qualifying event, third-seeded Guatemala’s Girls defeated Bermuda 3-0 after fending off a determined display from their opponents.
In their Singles match ups, Eva Frazzoni went down in straight sets 6-1, 6-2 to Ana Schedelgar, while Taylor McHarg also went down in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 to Camila Ramazzini.

The Bermuda Davis Cup Boys team was hard at work again on a warm day at the Salvadorian Tennis Courts, although in a losing effort they did their utmost against the Dominican Republic.
Feeling very confident the Dominicans had their number 3 player play up in the number two position. This proved to be a wrong move as Billy Boyle put in an excellent effort and crushed the confidence of the strongly built youngster, Pedro Munez. Boyle broke Munez in the first game and then followed quickly holding his serve. Munez sorted a few things out and managed to neutralize Boyle`s penetrating ground strokes. Munez covered a lot of territory and put the first set in his direction, taking a 4 - 2 lead and then taking an injury time out for tweaking his right ankle.
This did not bother his movement as he went ahead 5 - 2 and was ready to close out the set, however Boyle again steadied the ship so to speak and sailed back to 5 all. Both players then held for 6 all forcing a tie break. The tiebreaker was easy for Boyle as he took it 7 - 2.
The second set was evenly matched with the only service break coming after 5 games all. Boyle held to go ahead 6 - 5 and then finished the upset in the Dominicans eyes, with a final score of 7 - 6, 7 - 5.
The number one singles was no surprise for either team, the Dominican number 2 played in the number 1 spot. A strong player in his own right, Jose Olivales defeated Courtland Boyle 6 - 0, 6 - 0 .
The tie was now level at one match each with the deciding doubles to come. Stranger things have happened but this would not be one of those occasions. The Boyle cousins were up against it with the top two players from Dominican Republic in William Kirkman and Jose Olivales.
They are very talented and quite frankly they did not go full bore in brushing aside Bermuda 6 - 1, 6 - 2. The Bermuda boys were not demoralized as they saw this as a learning experience that we can apply in our remaining matches.
