The Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association have quietly sent teams to take part in the Junior Davis Cup by BNP Paribas North/Central American & Caribbean Pre-Qualifying and the Fed Cup events in La Libertad, El Salvador.

The Bermuda Boys went down to Guatemala 3 – 0, with Guatemala losing only three games, winning their two singles encounters and doubles rubber in just three hours and two minutes. In Singles action Ian Amaya defeated William Boyle in straight sets 6-0, 6-0, while Ryan Mueller defeated Courtland Boyle in straight sets 6-0, 6-1. Pedro Mendez and Amaya defeated Courtland Boyle and William Way in straight sets 6-1, 6-1 in the Doubles.

The first day of Round Robin matches in this year’s Fed Cup event is designed to determine which countries will qualify for the main draw. The Bermuda teams received mixed results, with the Girls Taylor McHarg and Eva Frazzoni winning their first tie against Bahamas two matches to one. Frazzoni playing first in the number two position defeated Shaytonya Missic in three sets 0-6, 6-0 6-2. TaylorMcHarg followed but could not pull off a win and went down in straight sets 6-4, 6-3 to Iesha Sheppard.

The tie was to be decided by the doubles match where the same four players took to the court and provided a tense filled match. The first set was reasonably comfortable at 6-3, to the Bermuda duo, and things went to form in the beginning of the second set. Bermuda went ahead 4-1 but only to have the Bahamians claw their way back to reach 5-4 with Bermuda serving for the match and reaching match point. With a never say die attitude the Bahamian's broke Frazzoni’s serve and then went on to force a tie break in the set. The Bermudian's found a way to change the tie and dismissed their opponents taking the second set tie break 7 - 1.
