With all the attention for the Bermuda Open given to the overseas players in the lead up, that will all have to change now as Bermudian Eric West is now the Professional Leader.
Due to the prediction of extremely inclement weather for Thursday 21st March, the 2013 Bermuda Open Committee has made the decision to play the 3rd and 4th rounds of the Bermuda Open tomorrow, Wednesday 20th March.
In order to accommodate this change there will be a front and back start for Rounds 3 & 4 and the players will stay in the same pairings for both rounds. The first tee times for the 4th round will start at 2pm and 2:40pm.
West shot a Second Round 71 and now leads with a two day score of 145, going into the day West was T2nd alongside Claude Grenier and one stroke behind previous leader Ian Doig. Grenier remained in second place after shooting a round of 73, he is now tied with Eddie Kirby who shot the lowest round of the day of 70 both are locked two strokes behind West on 147, while Doig is in 4th with an overall score of 148.
Scott Barnett remains the leader in the Amateur Division, although his lead has been cut to just 5 strokes. Barnett currently has a two day total of 163, while Ross Ballantyne is in second with a score of 168 and Neil Higgins rounds out the top three finishers with a total of 169.
