The two men that will lead the charge of Bermuda two Carifta teams took time out to discuss their upcoming challenges.
Troy Douglas the Technical Director of the Bermuda National Athletics Association and Ben Smith the Bermuda National Swimming Coach will be heading to the Caribbean with youngsters full of hopes and dreams.
Douglas and his team will compete in the Carifta Games in the Bahamas, while Smith and his team are Jamaica bound to take part in the Carifta Swimming Championships.
Smith said, “I am really hoping that the swimmers perform to their level best and they swim Personal Best times, if that gets them a second swim and a shot at a medal, I think that is what I will measure our success on.”
Douglas said, “I am also hoping that our track athletes set Personal Best, but more importantly I want the coaches to use this experience to prepare for the next set of athletes coming through and the next lot of competition.”
