Last night at the 2012 Annual Sports Awards Flora Duffy was crowned the Female Athlete of the Year.
www.islandstats.com broke the news to Duffy who said, “First I would like to say congratulations to the other nominees. I would like to thank to Bermuda Olympic Association and the Bermuda Triathlon Association for all of their support this year and throughout my sport career thus far.”
Duffy concluded, “I would also like to thank my parents and brothers for always supporting me and being my biggest cheerleaders. It is an honor to win and I am extremely thankful for all the support/ encouragement I receive from everyone in Bermuda. It is an honor to represent Bermuda and I hope to continue to make the island proud.”
