On Saturday during the Men’s Rugby Nichol Shield match between the Teachers and Mariners saw Teachers player Robin Seale hit and lay motionless after being hit which was ruled illegal by the referee.
Teachers’ players took exception to the hit and made it known to the Mariners player who after calm was restored was sent to the Sin Bin.
Seale was attended to by the medical staff of the St. John’s Ambulance before being transported to the King Edward Memorial Hospital.
Hours after the game teammates checked in on Seale in the Emergency Department, it is unknown if Seale spent the night at the Hospital.
