To whom it may concern,
With so many years gone by that most Bermudians and many of the football fraternity in the UK talked about and still talk about Clyde Best's accomplishments and trailblazing years of playing football in England.
Those of you who are genuinely sincere that he should be Knighted to be Sir Clyde Best are now asked to put our words to paper telling what you know about Clyde Best and why he should be Sir Clyde. If we don't do this, it won't happen.
I ask that you send your e-mail, hand written or typed letter recommending that Clyde Best be Knighted to this address so that a formal letter can be written and forwarded to the Cabinet Office. The final draft will be sent to the letter contributors for scrutiny before it along with your personal letters are sent to the Cabinet Office.
I will allow a time period of four weeks to receive your letters and will also ask the print and broadcast medias to assist on a daily or weekly basis to inform the public.
Let's get this done so we can be even prouder of Sir Clyde and ourselves for making it happen. If any of you know of a newspaper or football club in England that I can send this letter to, please give me the information. Thanking you in advance for your participation. Gerald L. Bean
