The Mariners defeated the Teachers 23 – 12 in their Men’s Nichol Shield Semi-Final. The Mariners got Try’s from Chris LaPlaca and Gareth Williams, while Andy Boyce kicked 2 Conversions and 3 Penalties, while Patrick Richardson and Aldo Campbell scored a Try each for the Teachers, while Andre Landy kicked 1 Conversion.
The Renegades defeated the Police 13 - 3 in the other Nichol Shield Semi-Final. The Renegades Try’s from Bennet Gibson and Alan Fitzsimmons, while Ian Henderson kicking a Penalty to seal the win. Mike Kane kicked a Penalty for the Police.
In the Ladies Scully Semi-Finals, the game between the Teachers Ladies and Renegades Ladies went into Double Overtime before the Renegades Ladys emerged victorious with a 3 – 2 win. The Renegades Ladies got Trys from Orla Halpin and Jess Gilbert in regulation time, while Sherice Bashir and Katy Wright scored for the Teachers Ladies. The Final Try was scored by Melissa Field with a breakaway down the sideline in the second Overtime period.
