Robbie Maycock and three of his Dartmouth University Men's Squash teammates continued competing at the CSA Individual Championships at Trinity.
Taking part in the Molloy Division, Maycock defeated Bowdoin's Andrew Hilboldt, in straight sets 12-10, 11-6, 11-4 in the round of 16.
Maycock would advance to the Quarter-Finals, where it would be a battle of Bermuda.
Maycock would meet fellow Bermudian Noah Browne of Amherst.
Although Browne and Maycock had not met in intercollegiate competition, the two were well acquainted having played against one another frequently as teammates on the Bermuda National squad.
Maycock raced to an 11-3 first-game win before Browne regrouped in the second, fighting hard but ultimately falling, 11-9. Building on the near-win, the Amherst rookie avoided a sweep with a strong third game as he won, 11-5. In keeping with his recent history, Browne found himself in a fourth-game dogfight, but this time it was Maycock who prevailed, outlasting his former teammate, 13-11.
Maycock advanced to the Semi-Finals where he will take on Vivek Dinodia.
