The Bermuda Cricket Board President (BCB) Lloyd Fray confirmed that the BCB has negotiated a 3 month extension to the contract of National Coach David Moore which expired on February 28th 2013.
This extension has been approved by the Department of Immigration.
Fray said, "We are very heartened to have secured the services for Moore for the next 90 days, a most important time for Bermuda cricket. In the next 3 months Bermuda's Senior National Team will be competing in both a Twenty20 and a 50 overs World Cup qualifying event and having the support of Moore for these tournaments is a major boost.”
“Arnold Manders will continue as the Interim National Coach under the guidance and mentoring of Moore. The extension also allows the Board to utilize Moore to further progress the outstanding National Academy program, develop a club coach development structure and design an enhanced schools strategy (in conjunction with BSSF). These are all key initiatives decided by the BCB Executive which have been given priority in the 2013 operational plan,” concluded Fray.
