Danny Lee fired an opening-round 64 to take the early lead in Colombia Championships in Bogota, Colombia.
Michael Sims ended Round One T53rd in his first WebTour.com Event of the 2013 Year. Sims shot an Opening Round 1-under par 70, six strokes of the leader Danny Lee.
Sims started out on the Back Nine and following four consecutive Pars, Sims recorded his first Birdie of the day on the par 4 fourteenth. Sims followed that with three consecutive Pars and then closed out his first nine with a Bogey on the par 5 eighteenth to make the turn at Even Par.
On the Front Nine, Sims shot three consecutive Pars before a Birdie on the par 4 fourth moved Sims back to 1-under par, Sims recorded a Bogey on the par 4 sixth to move back to Even Par, Sims then recorded a Birdie on the par 5 eighth to conclude his round at 1-under par.
