Bradford City 0 Swansea City 5

The Capital One Cup Final reached the half time break with Swansea City leading 2 – 0, Swansea went ahead in the 16th minute on a counter attack. Bradford created the first real attack in the game however the ball was lost and Swansea quickly went the opposite way to see Nathan Dyer score from an angle after Bradford City goalkeeper Matt Duke made a save to his left.

Dyer was the quickest react and scored, Bradford looked to get themselves back into the game however it was Swansea who doubled the lead in the 40th minute.

Michu was able to place a shot through the legs of a Bradford City defender and his low shot went in beating Duke to his left.

Bradford came out in the second half looking to get themselves back into the match, but Dyer quickly put a stop to it when he scored his second of the game in the 47th minute. Swansea went up 4 – 0 after Bradford City goalkeeper Duke brought down a Swansea player in the box and was sent off.

Wells was replaced by the substitute goalkeeper Jon McLaughlan who’s first touch was picking the ball out of the net after Jonathan De Guzman converted.

After sustaining several minutes of pressure the Bradford City defense could not deny Swansea a fifth, as De Guzman scored his second goal of the game from close range.
