Rachel Barnes and her Bowdoin College Women's Squash teammates finished off a perfect tournament with a 5-4 win over Wesleyan University in the Finals of Walker Cup at Yale University.
Bowdoin College finish 17th in the Nation with the victory and earn their best finish at Nationals since taking 12th overall in 2009. It is the program's first-ever victory in the Walker Cup Division and first Cup win since the team won the Kurtz Division in 2003.
Barnes playing in the number 2 Singles spot went down in a five setter to Annie Maxwell.
Barnes won the first set 11-2, but Maxwell would win the next two sets 12-10 and 11-7. Barnes then won the fourth set 11-4, before Maxwell closed out the win with a fifth set victory 11-8.
