Yearwood and Denison Move Into 1st Place
Ashley Yearwood and her Denison University Women’s Swimming teammates erased a four-point deficit and will take an 8.5-point lead over rival Kenyon into the final day of the 2013 North Coast Athletic Conference Championship at the C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton, Ohio.
Denison kicked off the second night finals by winning Women 200 Yard Medley Relay for the sixth-straight year. Maddie Armitage, Natalie Lugg, Yearwood and Morgan Nuess swam a season-best time of 1:43.79. The foursome's performance was an improvement on their previous NCAA Standard 'B' Time.
Yearwood then finished 3rd in the Women 100 Yard Backstroke A Final, Yearwood’s time of 56.71 reaches the NCAA B Standard time.
Burch Finishes 6th in B Final
 Roy-Allan Burch took to the pool for the first time this year for competition during the Arena Grand Prix Series in Orlando, Florida.
Burch competing at the YMCA Aquatic Center swam the 12th fastest Men’s 50 Long Course Meter Freestyle time of 23.82 during the Preliminaries sending him to the B Final.
During the Men’s 50 Long Course Meter Freestyle B Final, Burch finished 6th clocking a time of 23.81.
