The 17th running of the Telford Electric Magic Mile is fast approaching. The event is scheduled for February 23rd at the National Sports Center with a schedule 12noon start.
The popular annual event is open to children from ages 4 and up sees parents and children alike turned out each year for the Telford Electric Magic Mile Races which are organized by the Bermuda Pacers Track Club, and sanctioned by the Bermuda Track & Field Association.
The 16th Telford Electric Magic Mile saw Makaylie Smith win the Girls 4 Year Old Race clocking a time of 2:05.32, while J'Naz Richards finished second clocking 2:09.57 and Soleil Outerbridge finished third in 2:10.37.
In the Boy’s 4 Year Old race Daqaio Stewart clocked a time of 1:56.89 to finish first, while Sebastian Pukk finished second in 1:58.60 and Lakai Drummond finished third clocking 2:00.07.
Shemya Deshields won the Girls 5 Year Old race with a time of 1:40.50, while A'mya Harvey finished second with a time of 1:45.59 and I'Aura Golding finished third in 1:46.84.
The Boy’s 5 Year Old race was won by Rajae Whitter who was clocked across the line in a time of 1:43.41, while Keiaron Bean finished second in 1:45.81 and Oliver Verster finished third clocking 1:46.72.
