Five Bermuda Optimist sailors are taking time out in Argentina this week training, the 5 have qualified to represent Bermuda at the IODA South American Championships next month.
This week in Argentina they will sail with 180 competitors from 8 different countries. The Junior Gold Cup runner up Tomi di Luciano is there along with the Junior Gold Cup Girl runner up sailor from the USA Audrey Giblin, is taking part as well.
The Bermuda Sailors are Peter Dill, Chase Cooper, Ceci Wollmann, Mikey Wollmann and Benn Smith. They are being coached by Argentinean Martin Jenkins a two-time Optimist World Champion at his home club in Mar Del Plata, Argentina.
