Neal Towlson and his Wingate University Men’s Tennis teammates lost only three games while taking a 9-0 victory over Johnson C. Smith University (JCSU) at the WU Tennis Complex.
Wingate University are the number 26 ranked team in the Campbell/Intercollegiate Tennis Association NCAA Division II top 50 rankings.
Wingate sophomore Towlson won the battle of the number one players, taking a 6-1, 6-0 decision over JCSU sophomore Darrell Sawyer.
Earlier in the day, Towlson and freshman Roberto Hennis defeated Sawyer and junior Dion Chever 8-1 in the number one doubles match.
