Rachel Barnes and her Bowdoin Women's Squash teammates won its first-round match before falling in the Quarter-Finals of the NESCAC Tournament at Trinity College.
Bowdoin dispatched Tufts for the second time in a week, 9-0, before falling 9-0 to Middlebury in the Quarter-Final round. Bowdoin then dropped a pair of matches in the Consolation bracket to Wesleyan 5-4, and Hamilton 6-3.
Bowdoin lost just one set en route to their sweep of Tufts. Bowdoin dominated from top-to-bottom with Rachel Barnes, Alden Drake, Michaela Martin, Monica Wlodarczyk, Sara Wlodarczyk, Bonnie Cao, Christiana Whitcomb, Emily Simonton and Gretchen Williams all earning points.
Playing in the number one spot against Tufts, Barnes defeated Jessica Rubine in straight sets 11-0, 11-4, 11-3. Against Middlebury College, Barnes went down in straight sets 11-4, 11-0, 11-7 to Abby Jenkins.
Barnes then moved to the number two spot for the match against Hamilton, she took on Hilary Gray going down in four sets 11-7, 11-9, 9-11, 11-9, she remained in the same position against Wesleyan University were she defeated Torey Maxwell in four sets 14-12, 4-11, 11-5, 11-9.
