On Saturday February 2nd will see the much anticipated rematch between Teresa Perozzi and Tori Nelson for the WBC Middleweight Belt inside the Berkeley Institute Gymnasium.
Back on October 13th, at the conclusion of the Perozzi and Nelson - All or Nothing WBC Middleweight Title fight that was declared a draw many wanted the pair to square off again.
Nelson was schedule to fight in December, however that fight fell through opening up the option of a rematch in Bermuda, Teachers Fight Night has been moved up to January 26th to accommodate the rematch for the vacant WBC Belt.
The pair battled toe-to-toe, landing punch after punch but in the end Perozzi kept her WBA Middleweight Belt and the WBC Middleweight Belt that was once held by Nelson remained vacant after the three judge’s decisions were announced.
The two held a Press Conference at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess and while one particular media continued to attempt to get the ladies to sling mud at each other, they was told it was not going to happen.
Perozzi and Nelson the first time around explained to the media that that was not their style and as a Bermudian for that to be attempted again was disrespectful to all involved.
