Lisa Blackburn kicked off her 2013 Swimming Season taking part in the 2013 AB Swim Meet, this after taking part in an overseas Long Course Training Camp in Islamorada, Florida with T2 Aquatics.
Under the watchful eye of US swimming coach Paul Yetter, Blackburn said, “The camp provided an opportunity to train in a Long Course Meter Pool.”
Blackburn competed in five events, winning two and coming within 0.5 seconds of her own National Records.
Blackburn won the Women’s 15 & Over 100 SC Meter Breaststroke touching the wall in a time of 1:12.62, she also won the Women’s 15 & Over 50 SC Meter Breaststroke clocking 33.40.
Blackburn finished 10th in the Women’s 15 & Over 200 SC Meter IM clocking a time of 2:27.71, during the Women’s 15 & Over 50 SC Meter Freestyle, Blackburn recorded the 7th fastest time of 27.56 and she finished 3rd competing in the Women’s 15 & Over 200 SC Meter Breaststroke clocking a time of 2:42.74.
