There was a change at the German Men’s National Basketball Pro A leadership position, as Sullivan Phillips and his previous league leading BG Goettingen teammates were crushed by second placed and now league leaders SC Rasta Vechta 100 - 68.
The loss ended the seven-game winning streak of BG Goettingen.
SC Rasta Vechta led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to BG Goettingen's 24. They outrebounded BG Goettingen 47-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by BG Goettingen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
Phillips played 30 minutes going 2 for 4 from the Field and 1 for 3 from behind the 3 Point Line, he also went 8 for 9 from the Free Throw Line for his 15 points on the night. Phillips also grabbed 2 Rebounds and he had 3 Assist.
