Two Step Down from BTA Executive

IslandStats.com
Following the Bermuda Triathlon Association’s (BTA) AGM recently it was revealed that two stalwarts stood down from the Executive Committee.

Neil de Ste Croix retired as the Association's President, while Ian Pilgrim also stepped down.

Over many years de Ste Croix has selflessly devoted countless hours to Triathlon in Bermuda. His contributions are too numerous to list, ranging from team manager at the Olympics to his TriHedz efforts for kids and to the organization of SheROX. De Ste Croix has been an inspiration to many young--and not so young--triathletes.

Pilgrim through his responsibility for Sport Development, Pilgrim (like de Ste Croix) has had a wonderful influence on budding triathletes. He also acted as race director for key races and as a wise and calm member of the Executive.

Happily, although leaving the Executive Committee to others, de Ste Croix and Pilgrim intend to continue much of their hard work for Triathlon.

Jennifer Gunn has agreed to assume the role of President, Gunn has been an active and effective member of the Executive for several years.

Jeff Conyers, Deanna Didyk, Alan Gilbertson, Patty Petty, Sheryl Richardson and Lynden Rowe have agreed to remain on the Executive. Dawn Johnson has joined as the Association's Secretary, allowing Rowe to focus on Membership. The Association also welcome Tim Goodyer and Tina Rowse, with responsibility as Race Coordinator and for Sport Development, respectively.
