Ashley Yearwood and her Denison University Women's Swimming & Diving teammates opened the New Year with a convincing 157-115 victory over Wittenberg inside the Trumbull Aquatics Center in Granville, Ohio.
Sophomore Michelle Howell and first-year Yearwood paced Denison University with three wins apiece.
The duo opened the meet by representing one half of Denison University’s winning 200 Medley Relay team. Senior Lindsay Zeberlein, Howell, Yearwood and rookie Mary Van Leuven combined for a time of 1:48.94 in the event.
Yearwood won the Women’s 50 Freestyle after clocking in at 24.34. She also teamed up with Zeberlein, Kate Wright and Molly Willingham to win the 400 Yard Freestyle relay with a time of 3:34.48.
