 Jason Shrubb IslandStats.com The most legendary program in college squash, the No. 2 Nationally ranked Trinity Men, did what was expected and defeated Kristian Muldoon, Jason Shrubb and No. 14 Bates, but for the second time in the past four seasons, Bates earned an all-important point at the top of the lineup.
Sophomore Andy Cannon won a set for Bates and nearly tied his match up at 2 - 2 in his 9-11, 11-5, 11-6, 13-11 loss to Vrishab Kotian at the No. 5 position.
Bates played strong elsewhere up and down the lineup, most notably junior Muldoon’s 16-14, 11-3, 11-7 loss to Reinhold Hergeth at No. 2.
Juan Lopez defeated Shrubb, in straight sets 11-6, 11-6, 11-6.
