Isabelle Lendl shot a final-round 66 to overtake third-round leader and local favorite Carly Ray Goldstein to capture the Women’s Dixie Amateur at ClubLink’s Heron Bay Golf Club.
Lendl, a University of Florida senior and the daughter of 8-time Grand Slam tennis professional Ivan Lendl, took the lead in the tournament for the first time when she made a short birdie putt on the 15th hole. She had identical nine-hole totals of 33 and finished at 278.
Meanwhile Ann Symonds finished 6th in the Senior Division. Symonds put together her best round of the event with a 11-over par 83 to finish with a four day total of 362.
Ashley Rose won the Senior Division after shooting a final round 3-over par to finish with a score of 310.
