The Bermuda National Athletics Association President Donna Watson announced the athletes that have been selected to travel to the NACAC Cross Country Championships which will be held in Mandeville, Jamaica at the Manchester Golf Club January 26th.
Watson said, “We are very pleased with our selection and look forward to some good results from our athletes. This is the first time we will be sending a Junior Girls team but we feel they are a very strong team.”
“These athletes were chosen from standards that we had put in place for the National Cross Country Championships and their consistent results during the cross country season. All of these athletes will also be competing in the KPMG Bermuda Invitational Mile and we expect them to perform well and be the top contenders in the age group,” continued Watson.
“We were hoping to have a full men's team which consists of 4 runners but due to other commitments or injury we were unable to assemble a full men's team. Jay Donawa and Tamika Williams will be traveling as athlete and coach for this event,” concluded Watson.
