Derrick Bangman gave Wolves the lead in the lead in the 25th minute, only for Makai Battersbee to equalize ten minutes later. On the stroke of half time Troy Tucker put Wolves in front and when Marrico Iris made it 3 – 1 to Wolves in the 75th minute everyone was thinking it was all said and done, until Chae Brangman scored for the Devonshire Cougars with a low shot to the near post in the 90th minute. With two added minutes of stoppage time, Brangman slammed the Devonshire Cougars equalizer from the edge of the box, with the game to be decided with kicks from the penalty mark.
Both teams continued to score penalties with Wolves going first, with the score 5 – 4 to Wolves, Mark Steede stepped up to take the Devonshire Cougars fifth kick, steede spot kick was saved by the feet of Wolves goalkeeper Jahhi Shakir.
