Mitchell Campbell is taking part in the 49th edition of this Junior Orange Bowl International Golf Championship prestigious tournament that got off to a fast start, England’s Patrick Kelly blistering around the famed Donald Ross Biltmore GC under sunny south Florida skies in 6-under par 65.
Kelly leads Trinidad’s Matthew Marquez and Californian Jonah Texiera by two strokes, three ahead of a group of six players on 68 which includes South Africa’s Haydn Porteous.
Campbell shot an opening round 6-over par77 and is T46th.
Campbell shot 12 Pars and 6 Bogey’s in his round.
Campbell started out on the front nine with seven consecutive Pars, before back to back Bogeys saw him make the turn at 2-over par.
On the back nine Campbell started out with a Bogey on the 10th, which was followed by back to back Pars, Campbell then had a Bogey on the par 4 thirteenth, a Bogey on the par 5 fifteenth and a Bogey on the par 4 seventeenth.
