From the YAO Ball Park Fields on Southside to the Florida Youth Baseball Leagues, fifteen year old Braxton Stowe Jr. is making a name for himself.
Stowe said, “This pass season was like a coming out, as he has gone from a role player to a starter.”
Ryan Giffin, a coach at Santaluces High School in West Palm Beach Florida coached Stowe on a 15 and under showcase team said, “Stowe was a vital asset to our team’s success. He led our team in all pitching categories and was also tops in all major offensive categories. Stowe also played exceptional defense at 1st and 3rd base.”
Giffin continued, “Stowe’s mother Laverne and father Braxton Sr. are exceptional people who want to see their son succeed at a sport he is very talented at. In order for their son Braxton to fulfill his dreams he is staying with a host family here in West Palm Beach Florida, where we have a very competitive baseball culture. Our High Schools routinely have our players going to the best Universities for academics and athletics and we even have several players drafted into professional baseball organizations each year.”
“I believe with Stowe’s character, ability, and work ethic he fits into the class of athletes that you cannot put a ceiling on. Any investment put into this young man is a wise investment. Living expenses along with the costs involved to play the baseball and get exposure in showcase teams is a very costly expense,” concluded Giffin.
