The 2012 DIGICEL Bermuda National Junior Squash Championships draws were released by the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association (BRSA) today with top seeds D’Vario Thompson and Alex Marshall tipped to take the Under 19 Trophies.
Over 50 children aged 7-18 years will take part in the two day event sponsored for the second year running by DIGICEL.
All the various age categories for both boys and girls have great strength in depth and should produce some fantastic matches. Tiye Williams, Bermuda’s highest finisher in last week’s Canadian Junior Open is seeded #1 in both the Girls Under 15 & 17 events and is looking to take her first ever national title double. Aiming for a similar feat in the boys under 13 & 15 is Dylan Pratt who will face tough opposition from Dylan Muldoon and Anaya Smith.
BSRA Director of Squash Patrick Foster said, “After great performances from the kids internationally recently at the Canadian Junior Open they are all ready to jump back onto the courts and compete for the Digicel National Titles. It should be an exciting couple of days at the BSRA.”
The Digicel Bermuda National Junior Championships will take place on December 27th & 28th at the BSRA, with all the main finals will be between 12-3pm on the 28th.
