Hi5Golf Showcase Bermuda in Canada
Bermuda is blasted all across parts of Canada after four Brantford Golf and Country Club members representing Hi5Golf recently returned from Bermuda, where they captured the low net championship at the Goodwill Pro-Am Golf Tournament.

Dennis Hendershott, the professional who put the team together, said it was a big win for the group, which also included amateurs Neil Higgins, Dan Walker and Garry Annis.

"I personally think it's a pretty big deal for them," said Hendershott, whose Hi5Golf company runs the Great Lakes Tour, the Golf Town National Amateur Series, the Moe Norman Cup and the Southern Ontario Open.

"They beat a lot of good players and they should be proud of themselves."

This wasn't Hendershott's first time at the event, nor was it the first time he's enjoyed success in Bermuda.

In 2007, Hendershott joined a local team out of Riddell's Bay Golf and Country Club, winning the team event.

In 2009, Hendershott, Lee Munro, Neil Higgins and Jared Higgins went to Bermuda and led going into the final day of the event before fading to third place.

The event features teams of four, comprising one professional and three amateurs. This year the Hi5Golf team was in the junior division for those aged 50 and younger.

The teams, which come from all over North America, play 72 holes over four days on four different courses: The Mid Ocean Club, Tucker's Point Golf Club, Port Royal Golf Course and Riddell's Bay.

Each day, the team uses its best net score from one individual and its best gross score from one individual. And, at the conclusion of the four days, the team with the lowest score in each category is declared the winner.

The locals hold the tournament in quite high esteem. We were in the media. It's quite a big deal to the locals.

"They've had all kinds of names come through there."
